Notes: This handsome tan-and-black male is the biggest puppy of the litter and seems to fancy himself the leader; he puts on a big show whenever he sees strangers, barking and charging and puffing himself up. Don't let his bravado fool you though, this guy is actually one of the sweetest Shepherds we've ever dealt with. A rub on the ears and a liver treat and this guy is just a big fluffy puddle who wants to rub all over you. He's very affectionate and loves to give kisses and sit on laps, and seems to enjoy having his long fur brushed. He has excellent confirmation and would make a fantastic show dog.

Notes: This black-and-tan female has a unique dark face on her light body, as well as a fiesty personality. Definitely her mother's daughter, she has her boldness, assertiveness, as well as stubborness - don't think this pup is like her brother who can be won over by a pat on the head, you need patience and time to earn her trust. She seems to be a natural-born guard dog and is very athletic; despite her show bloodlines and coat, she seems to think of herself as a soldier and is extremely athletic, always trying to be the first to tackle a new situation. With some patient training, she'd be a really great guard or Schutzhund dog.

Notes: This red-and-black male is a lot lower key than his two feistier older siblings, and seems much more content to watch from the sidelines as they get into all their shenanigans. He seems to prefer laying about in the sunshine and being loved on than running around. He's not terribly energetic for a puppy, but he's still quite intelligent and, once you get him motivated, learns very fast - he already knows his left from his right, which his siblings haven't learned yet. He's a very calm, low-key puppy who would be great as a companion or at obedience trials; it takes a lot to get him nervous or upset so he's great in front of a crowd.

Notes: This gorgeous black-and-tan girl is definitely the ringleader of the leader, with a high dominance drive and the stubborness to always want to get her way. While not outright aggressive, she definitely knows how to push her luck and has been snapped at several times by older dogs in the stables. She's a little too clever for her own good, and knows just how to get into the most trouble possible. But that also means she's a very charming puppy and picks up training lightning-fast. With her fluffy coat and good structure, she could be a variety of things when grown - Schutzhund, showing, obedience, agility, police work - provided you can handle her, of course.

5. KEEPING

Notes: This bicolor female is the darkest of the litter but a real eye-catcher. She seems to have inherited more her father's personality than her mothers, and has an independent streak that often leads to her wandering about for hours, just sniffing around. She seems to have a penchant for water, which is definitely going to be a pain to keep up once her plush coat grows in - lots of baths in the future for this girl, though luckily she doesn't mind. It takes a bit to get her interested in what you have to say and her attention is prone to drop off quickly, but once you have her alert she's a very smart little dog.
