Personality: Brie is one of the quieter dogs here at STS. Gentle to a fault, she thrives off of positive reinforcement and is very quick to submit or shy away at the first sign of negativity. Although she is very intelligent, it can be hard to focus her smarts on the right idea - scolding her tends to make her shy away from said person or action permanently. Although skittish of loud noises or strangers, once she's been given some time to warm up she will be extremely friendly and one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. She absolutely loves the water and can (and will) spend an entire day simply retrieving a frisbee out of a lake or beach.

Background: Soft and shy, Brie was purchased cheap from a small breeding business a few hours north. While she comes from a long line of hunting dogs, Brie was unique among her family and was born very profoundly gun shy. Despite a good few years of handling, she never seemed to get over her fear of loud noises. Not wanting her to spread her skittish personality, she was sold at a local dog show to STS, who took a liking to the sweet but scared Brie. Although it took her a few months to settle in, Brie has very quickly become a pet favorite of many of the staff at STS and is always to be found lounging on a bench or patiently watching the riders. She's a bit wary of horses still, but can often be found sticking next to one of the calmer dogs - she is especially fond of Sisco and seems to favor his company over many of the other dogs.
