Personality: Jethro is a real head-turner of a dog. With his unique coloring and proud stance, he's a master of stoicness and is unflappable in the show ring. He's calm and focused, and is very food motivated to boot; as long as you have a liver treat in your hand, you're the only person in the world to him. Fortunately this also made training him a breeze, and he also does well at obedience trials. He very quickly learned that sitting on his haunches to beg makes most people gush over how cute and smart the puppy is, so if he's ever out in public he's happy to make the rounds doing so to see if he can score any treats. He's a fairly introverted dog overall though, and isn't that fond of hanging around just for the sake of pats and cuddles. At home he's a dog who likes his peace and quiet, and is typically found inside the staff house, curled up on a bed or by a fire in the winter. He's not a dog that needs to spend all day blazing about outside and chasing geese; a simple few-mile walk once or twice a day is good for him. Not to say he's not a collie at heart - Jethro sometimes just can't help himself and will find himself shifting into "herding mode" when walking by flocks of fowl or even litters of puppies. He typically gets along well with other animals, but can be a bit possessive of his space and generally prefers to go it solo.
