Personality: Mica is a real gem, no pun intended. With the sturdy and well-balanced build of a wild mustang, she also sports a flashy coat pattern and captivating eyes. Although she can be a bit aloof at first, she is easy to win over with gentle words and a few treats, and she trusts unconditionally after. She can be sensitive to noises and tends to do her best when she's either with other people or other horses - she's especially well-bonded with our other mares Lady and Aster, and the three often stick together when out in the large pastures of the stable. Mica requires a slow and gentle start to training, but with some patience and soft words she can be a perfectly capable horse. So far she's done her best at helping around the stables with ranchhand work and pleasure riding, but she's being trained in cutting as well and seems to be doing fairly well at it so far. Although not a bold or brave horse, she does still have that wild mustang tenaciousness inside her, if you can manage to finesse it out. She goes into what we call "hyperfocus" when she really hits her stride when cutting, where you can tell she's really getting a burst of energy and stubborness and really wants to complete her task. But typically once the tack is off and she's left to her own devices, she's content to just sort of meander around and enjoy her life in peace and quiet.
