Personality: Vasuki was the name of a highly valued king whose prized possessions consisted of a vast variety of treasures. Although our Vasuki does not have the body of a snake or a gem in his forehead, is a level-headed intelligent dog who seems to appreciate aesthetic value as any proper king might. He reigns supreme over the stable grounds, often choosing high and lofty places on which to rest, head up and alert, watching over the area with a silent dignity that could only come from an ancient flock guarding breed. Though he carries a sense of high pride and self-assuredness, Vasuki is a very laid-back dog in behavior. He does not squabble with other dogs over dominance positions, and instead seems more than willing to reign silently in the background, allowing bold and boisterous animals to race ahead of him without so much as batting an eyelash. He is calm and patient, spending most of his time lounging in shady spots, soaking up any attention that is flung his way. Though he likes to keep control of his own time and doesn't always follow commands, Vasuki is relatively affectionate for his breed and prefers to lay near companions rather than wandering off by himself. He makes a wonderful pup-sitter and a silent, but watchful trail companion.
